Cru Bourgeois da denominação Margaux, Château d'Arsac é um vinho tinto feito a partir de uma mistura de 72% de Cabernet Sauvignon e 28% de Merlot. O vinhedo de 54 ha se beneficia de um terroir composto por um solo de cascalho marrom em um subsolo de argila arenosa, marga e calcário. Já o vinho se beneficia de um envelhecimento exclusivamente em barricas de carvalho, sendo um terço em barricas novas por um período de 12 meses. Engarrafamento na primavera de 2018. O Château d'Arsac 2016 revela uma cor vermelha profunda quase preta. O nariz revela generosamente uma paleta de frutos vermelhos maduros, combinados com uma sutil nota amadeirada. O ataque é fresco e frutado na boca, apresentando um vinho com uma estrutura tânica densa e equilibrada. O final é longo e delicadamente amadeirado.

Vines and a spectacular park with modern sculpture mark out this showpiece estate. It has produced an elegant wine, full of perfumed fruit and with fine, dusty tannins. It should age well, morphing into a stylish wine with richness and longevity. Drink from 2024.
Robert Parker:
The 2016 D'Arsac was showing just a touch of volatility on the nose at first, although my sample addressed that with some rigorous aeration, revealing marine-tinged black fruit laced with blueberry and crushed violet. The palate is medium-bodied with a vibrant, spicy opening and superb delineation. Very harmonious in the mouth, there is impressive depth and wonderful freshness to this Margaux, delivering great length on the finish. It should be afforded maybe five years to fully subsume that new oak, but it will certainly be worth the wait. Bucking the trend for Margaux wines to have peaked in 2015, this 2016 is leagues above last year's wine. Bravo.
Jancis Robinson:
Deep crimson. Notably delicate as the first Margaux after a flight of Listracs. Lovely fragrance of dusty dark fruit and a touch of cedar, almost herbaceous but fully ripe. The Cabernet finesse shows here, slim but not thin. Paper-fine tannins, lightish but in balance. (JH)
