O Château Jean Faure 2021 apresenta um perfil elegante e fresco, com predominância de Cabernet Franc que confere caráter aromático e precisão. No nariz destacam-se notas mentoladas e florais acompanhadas por frutas vermelhas e negras frescas. Em boca revela frescor marcante, taninos finos e bem integrados e textura equilibrada, culminando em final sedutor e persistente. O élevage combina barricas novas, barricas de um vinho, cubas de concreto e foudres, reforçando complexidade e pureza do fruto.

Château Jean Faure é um Grand Cru Classé de Saint-Émilion situado próximo ao Château Cheval Blanc, sobre solos argilo-calcários e molasses do Fronsadais. A propriedade pertence a Olivier Decelle e cultiva cerca de 18 hectares com forte predominância de Cabernet Franc, característica singular na denominação. Com vinhas de idade média elevada e viticultura biológica, o château elabora vinhos elegantes, frescos e precisos que refletem a identidade do terroir da margem direita de Bordeaux.

The 2021 Jean Faure is beautiful, bursting from the glass with aromas of raspberries and mulberries mingled with rose petals, lilac and orange zest. Medium to full-bodied, supple and seamless, with a fleshy core of fruit, ripe tannins and a long, perfumed finish, this estate's singular Cabernet Franc-dominated style has synergized with the vintage.

Soft, polished, sweet, floral, and fresh, the fruits are juicy with a touch of spice and mint in the endnote. The wine has a nice depth of flavor, with a creamy, as well as fresh edgy to the spicy, red berries and leafy herbs in the endnote. The wine is made from a blend of 67% Cabernet Franc and 33% Merlot, which is the highest proportion of Cabernet Franc ever used in blend. Hopefully, they will continue using more Cab Franc in future vintages as it really works here. Drink from 2023-2039. 91-93
